What is your role at Level Level?

As a coordinator within Maintenance & Support, I am one of the first to receive requests and ensure they are directed to the right person. With my background in hospitality and retail, I understand how important it is to create a positive experience, both for the customer and behind the scenes. If you have any questions (or simply feel like having a good chat), I’d be happy to get in touch!

Why Level Level?

When I first visited the Level Level office, I was already very impressed by the look and feel you get as soon as you walk in. The team is very warm and welcoming, and I immediately felt at home. It’s a company where I see many opportunities not only to help take the business (and myself) to the next level, but also to roll up my sleeves and get things done.

What do you do in your free time?

In recent years, I’ve discovered a passion for adventure and sports or physical activity. Traveling solo is one example of this. I enjoy playing tennis and challenging myself by signing up for the Nijmegen Four-Day March or training for various running races. When I’m doing these activities, I’m truly able to switch off and clear my mind. Additionally, I enjoy finding great clothes at vintage markets or shops.

What did you study?

I discovered my talent for planning and organising early on. As a visual thinker, I wanted to study something where I could bring concepts to life. This led me to Breda University, where I pursued a degree in International Leisure and Event Management. There, I developed skills in coordination and project management.

Which jobs have you had before this?

After completing my studies, 2020 brought significant disruptions due to Covid-19 lockdowns, prompting many in the events industry to seek alternative careers. I transitioned into retail, starting part-time and advancing to a floor manager position. This role allowed me to express my passion for creating engaging experiences, both through store design and customer interactions. Subsequently, I became an assistant manager, contributing to store operations and team leadership. Additionally, throughout my studies and post-pandemic, I gained valuable experience as a freelancer at festivals and other events.

What brought you to Level Level?

After five years in retail, I felt it was time for a new challenge. Since my studies, I had dreamed of working in a coordinating or project management role at either a digital or creative agency. When I saw on a job site that Level Level was looking for an M&S coordinator, it was immediately clear to me: this was the perfect match!

Do you have anything on your bucket list?

One thing on my bucket list is definitely to get my motorcycle license. I’d also love to go on beautiful hikes in various parts of the world, such as in the Annapurna region of Nepal or to explore one of the many hiking trails in Peru. Right now, I’m training for a half marathon, but who knows, maybe one day a full marathon?
